The Ghandruk Village and Jhinu Hot Spring Trek offer a delightful blend of a brief adventure in the mid-hills of the majestic Annapurna Himalayan range. The trek takes you through short circuits, providing breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and a dramatic panorama. Beyond the stunning mountain scenery, the cultural richness and traditional life of the hill villages, coupled with hot springs, add an equally fascinating dimension to this fabulous trek. Commencing with a short drive from the picturesque Pokhara city, the journey unfolds, leading to high hills adorned with rhododendron, magnolia, hemlocks, oaks, and pine trees, all against the backdrop of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalaya.
After a memorable stay in Ghandruk Village, the trek retraces its steps towards Pokhara, taking an alternative route through the scenic Tadapani village. The path descends through dense alpine woodlands, reaching the Kimrong Valley, followed by an uphill climb to the Jhinu and Chomrong communities. The trek continues along ridge tops and stone-paved steps, eventually arriving at Jhinu village, perched at an elevation of 1780 meters. Here, one can enjoy the hot springs, located around a 25-minute downhill walk from the village along the banks of the Modi River. The journey concludes with a Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The entire route covers a distance of 20 km.
The trek spans three days, starting with a 12 km trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk on the first day, followed by an 8 km trek from Ghandruk to Jhinu on the second day. The third day involves returning to Sibai and driving to Pokhara. Referred to as an easy and short trek, it offers close-up views of Annapurna South (7219 m), Hiuchuli (6441 m), and Fishtail (6993 m). For those who prefer not to walk, private jeep options are available for transportation to these locations. This trek also marks the beginning of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
